When innocence nurtured peace like its own lovechild
Driven goals desired accomplished success
Before life lesson sessions held class
And worthy self worth fell to depreciation
When trials plotted with tribulation
Raping the womb of harmony dwelled in
And mistakes waged wars which left
Destruction zones of regretful self deprecation
Faltered paths were navigated
Stumbling, tripping, and falling through the madness
Defeated standing at a salvation forked road
Redemption’s detour offered and chosen
Soul searching was quested
A self discovery shortcut taken
On a highway of self love
Without joy limiting speed signs
Free of fear speed bumps
Lacking failure red lights
Leading back to myself
Along the way picking up stranded pieces
Patiently waiting, smiling, with thumbs in the air
Hitchhiking to exactly the same destination
